Remedial Massage
What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage focuses and targets a specific part of the body where you may have

tension, lack of flexibility or lack of mobility. It aims to repair and heal damaged

parts of your body, reducing pain, improving flexibility and mobility and

speeding up the bodys own natural healing process.

Remedial massage targets the source of the problem and your symptoms so that you

have longer lasting and improved healing.

Remedial Massage is designed to treat both deep and superficial soft tissues.

To to do this a wide range of techniques are used which specifically target problems areas:

Massage to relax and warm up the area to be worked on

Myofascial Release to unwind tense and damaged soft tissue and nerves

Manual Lymphatic Drainage to remove toxins and reduce inflammation

deep tissue massage to target areas that need a little bit more help

CranioSacral Therapy to work on deep soft tissue and joints

Sound Healing to work deeper with soft tissue and nerves

Who is Remedial Massage for?

Remedial Massage is good for anyone who has specific areas of pain, injury, discomfort, lack of flexibility, lack of mobility, poor balance or poor posture. These symptoms could be due to a sports injury, accident, surgery, your occupation or your lifestyle.

A Remedial Massage treatment will concentrate on the area where you have symptoms but also look to find the cause of the symptoms. This may sometimes be at another point in your body:

Sciatic pain can often be caused from a shoulder problem

lower back pain can be caused from problems with your knees, hips or poor balance

pins and needles in your fingers may be caused from poor posture & tension in your neck

frozen shoulder may be caused from a lower back or hip problem

"The cause is often not where the symptoms appear ..."

Remedial Massage can help a wide range of medical disorders including: whiplash,

frozen shoulder, sports injuries, muscle cramps, sciatica, headaches and migraines,

knees, plantar faciitis, neuropathy, arthritis, chronic pain, disabilities caused from Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons, muscular atrophy.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage /  Craniosacral Therapy
