Terms and conditions

General Information
  1. In these Terms and Conditions you will find some helpful information about making a booking for a treatment or Reiki course, how to contact me, payments, cancellation policy and information when making purchases from the Shop.

  2. I have also added some information about what happens during a treatment so that if you have not had a therapy or treatment before it will give you some idea what to expect.

  3. If you would like to discuss a possible treatment before making a booking then please contact me and I will happily discuss your reason for attending and the treatments that may be suitable and what they entail. There is also some information on the different therapies in the Treatment section of this website.

TREATMENTS
Insurance and Qualifications
  1. I am fully qualified and insured for all the treatments and therapies that I practice.

  2. I am a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

  3. I am a member of the Complementary Healthcare Register

  4. Please let me know if you wish to see proof of any qualifications, insurance or membership of the FHT.

Cancellation Policy
  1. If you need to cancel your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice for treatments and 48 hours for Reiki courses. Either by telephone, text or email, so that the time is available for someone else. No explanation is required.

  2. To rebook your appointment, please let me know which date and time you would like or use the online booking  to confirm your chosen date and time.

  3. Charges for late cancellations of less than 24 hours for treatments, 48 hours for Reiki courses or no shows may be made.

 
Booking and appointments
  1. All treatments and Reiki courses are subject to availability.

  2. All treatment times quoted include treatment, preparation and consultation.

  3. Bookings may be made through the online booking system or by contacting Dawn directly.

  4. Bookings made online are confirmed by email.

  5. Bookings made directly through Dawn are confirmed by email or text whichever is provided.

  6. Until confirmed, appointments/Reiki courses are booked on a first come first served basis.

  7. Regrettably, late arrival for your appointment/Reiki course will result in a reduced treatment time.

  8. Same day appointments are sometimes available. Please contact Dawn for availability.

  9. Where you have supplied your email, an appointment reminder will be sent to you 24 hours before your confirmed appointment/Reiki Course time.

  10. Children 16 years and under:

    • must be accompanied by an appropriate adult for the whole of the treatment.

  11. Vunerable clients:

    • requiring 1-1 care must be accompanied by an appropriate adult for the whole of the treatment.

  12. Gentlemen;

    • Copthorne Therapies only treats ladies.

    • if a Gentleman books an appointment/Reiki course at Copthorne Therapies then the appointment/Reiki course will be deemed cancelled.

  13. Acceptable behaviour;

    • if a client is under or appears to be under the influence of drink or recreational drugs the treatment will be cancelled forthwith. Full payment will be due.

    • any behaviour by the client either physical or spoken which is not deemed acceptable by Dawn will deem the treatment cancelled forthwith. Full payment will be due.

  14. Reiki Courses;

    • a non-refundable deposit (stated on booking page) is required to secure your chosen date(s). The deposit must be paid a minimum of 7 days before the course date or else the date may be made available to general public. If booking less than 7 days before the course date the deposit must be paid on booking to secure the date.

    • if you need to change the date(s), 48 hours is needed for cancellation. Rebooking can be made in your own time and the deposit will stand for 12 months from the date of initial booking.

    • the balance of payment for the course is payable at the start of the course.

    • if you do the course over 2 days and you do not attend the 2nd day or for whatever reason fail to pay the full balance you will not receive the full Reiki manual or your certificate.

  15. An appointment may be cancelled at any time if any of these Terms and Conditions are not met.

Payme  nt methods
  1. At Copthorne Therapies I accept cash, most debit and credit cards, some mobile payments and contactless payments.

  2. PayPal is available if you book and pay online. Credit or Debit card payment can be made on PayPal if you do not have a Paypal account.

Refunds
 
  1. Refunds of payments made online where the appointment is cancelled more than 24 hours before the appointment time or, appointments cancelled by Dawn as detailed above, will be transacted subject to items below.

  2. Deposits for Reiki courses are non-refundable. Where full payment has been made prior to the course starting which is cancelled by you or cancelled by Dawn at anytime (see above), will be transacted subject to items below.

  3. Refunds for Treatment Discount Card of 6, 10 or 15 treatments may be made if less than 50% of the pre-paid treatments have been fulfilled. All treatments fulfilled will be charged at full price at the time of the refund and the difference between fulfilled treatments and the price paid for the Treatment discount Card refunded. See below.

  4. If Dawn has to cancel an appointment you have already booked and paid for which you are not able to rebook, the full amount paid will be refunded subject to items below. This does not apply to the Treatment Discount Card.

  5. Refunds will only be made where the client requests a refund by email or through the website contact page no more than 30 days after the cancelled appointment/Reiki course date or 3 months for Treatment Discount Card, which is being refunded.

  6. Refunds for payments;

    1. made online will be made via Paypal as soon as practically possible and will be reduced by any transaction fees incurred from PayPal for both purchase and refund transactions.

    2. made by card in person at Copthorne Therapies will be made via izettle as soon as practically possible and will be reduced by any transaction fees incurred from izettle for both purchase and refund transactions.

    3. made in person in cash will be made in person in cash at Copthorne Therapies or by BACS as soon as practically possible.

  7. Refunds will not be made for appointments/Reiki courses cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment time.

 

Gift vouchers
  1. Can be used as a whole or part payment for any treatment or Reiki Course at Copthorne Therapies.

  2. Gift Vouchers confirm the price paid: not a specific length of treatment.

  3. Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

  4. Additional wording can be requested for the Gift Voucher. No offensive language (at the discretion of Dawn) will be added and you be requested to change the wording just once; otherwise the Gift Voucher will be sent without any additional wording.

  5. Gift Vouchers in PDF format will be emailed to the email stated on the order within 2 working days.

  6. Gift Vouchers have an expiry date of 1 year from date of purchase.

  7. Any Gift Vouchers purchased before 1st January 2018 will be valid until 31st December 2018.

  8. No priority is given for appointments - please see Terms under Booking and Appointments.

  9. The Gift Voucher must be presented at the appointment or else an alternative form of payment is required.

  10. Unused amounts of the Gift Voucher can be used against another treatment.

  11. If for any reason Dawn ceases working and a Gift Voucher is still valid then contact will be made with the person who initially paid (through the contact details originally given) for the Gift Voucher to arrange for it to be spent.

  12. Any changes to the Gift Vouchers will be made in these Terms and Conditions.

Black Friday voucher
  1. The Black Friday voucher will discount one single treatment for 25% of the cost of that treatment at Copthorne Therapies only.

  2. Each voucher purchased is registered and unique.

  3. Black Friday vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

  4. Black Friday vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

  5. The voucher in PDF format will be emailed to the email stated on the order within 2 working days.

  6. The Black Friday 25% discount is valid for any treatment time up to 120 minutes.

  7. The Black Friday discount vouchers must be redeemed by 31st January 2020.

  8. No priority is given for appointments - please see Terms under Booking and Appointments.

  9. Only one 25% voucher can be used per person. If a person presents a second voucher then this will not be a valid form of payment.

  10. A person may use a second voucher given as a gift. The details of the giveris required to authenticate the voucher.

  11. Additional wording can be requested for the Black Friday voucher. No offensive language (at the discretion of Dawn) will be added and you be requested to change the wording just once; otherwise the Gift Voucher will be sent without any additional wording.

  12. An alternative form of payment for the remaining 75% of the cost is required: 30 minutes £18.75; 45 minutes £26.25; 60 minutes £33.75; 90 minutes £48.75; 120 minutes £60.

  13. Any changes to the Black Fridayvoucher will be made in these Terms and Conditions.

 

Treatment Discount Card

 

  1. Treatment Discount Cards are proof of pre-payment of multiple treatments of a specific length appointment time at Copthorne Therapies.

  2. Treatment Discount Cards are for fully pre-paid treatments only - 10% off 6 treatments, 15% off 10 treatments and 20% off 15 treatments.

  3. Treatment Discount Cards are for a specific appointment length only such as 30 or 45 or 60 or 90 minutes.

  4. No priority is given for appointments - please see Terms under Booking and Appointments.

  5. Treatment Discount Cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

  6. Treatment Discount Cards have an expiry date of 2 years from date of purchase.

  7. Treatment Discount Cards may be used by more than 1 person.

  8. Treatment discount cards are only valid for treatments at Copthorne Therapies.

  9. Treatment Discount Cards must be presented at each appointment or else an alternative form of payment is required.

  10. Treatment Discount Cards may be used with Refer a Friend with cash been given in place of discount.

  11. Treatment Discount Cards cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounted treatment.

  12. Purchasing of Treatment Discount Cards may be stopped at any time without notice.

  13. If for any reason Dawn ceases working and a Treatment Discount card is still valid then contact will be made with the person who initially paid (through the contact details originally given) for the Treatment discount card to arrange for it to be spent.

  14. Any changes to the Treatment Discount Cards will be made in these Terms and Conditions.

Pricing
  1. All prices are subject to change.

  2. Prices confirmed on the booking email or if confirmed by text/phone at the time of booking will be charged.

Loyalty Card
  1. One stamp will be made on your Loyalty Card at each appointment of a full paying treatment.
  2. A completed Loyalty Card means 10 full paying treatments have been paid for and completed.
  3. One free treatment will be given for a completed Loyalty Card.
  4. The length of the free treatment will be the length of the majority of the 10 treatments paid for.
  5. The free treatment has to be booked separately and can be used as part payment of a longer treatment.
  6. All stamps must tally with the Copthorne Therapies booking system.
  7. The Loyalty Card has no cash value.
  8. The Loyalty Card cannot be used with other discounted treatment plans or mobile/home appointments offered by Dawn.
  9. The Loyalty Card is only valid for appointments at Copthorne Therapies.
  10. The Loyalty Card scheme may be stopped at any time without notice.
  11. Any changes to the Loyalty Card will be made in these Terms and Conditions.
 
Refer a friend
  1. An existing Client may refer a Friend to Copthorne Therapies.

  2. The Friend receives £5 off their first paying treatment.
  3. Once the Friend has had their first treatment the Client receives £5 off their next paying treatment.
  4. The voucher is for the named person only and cannot be shared.
  5. An existing Client is someone who has paid for a minimum of 1 full paying treatment.
  6. Any vouchers to be used must be presented at the treatment to receive the £5 off otherwise an alternative form of payment is required.
  7. The vouchers have no cash value.
  8. All vouchers must have the identifying reference to be valid.
  9. The Refer a Friend scheme may be stopped at any time without notice.
  10. Any changes to Refer a Friend will be made in these Terms and Conditions.
USING THE SHOP
Payments
  1. Paypal provides safe and secure payment processing in the online shop.

  2. Credit and debit cards may be used if you do not have a PayPal account.

Shipping information
  1. All orders are sent with FREE DELIVERY.

  2. Deliveries are only made within the UK and in Sterling.

  3. Standard UK deliveries usually take 2-5 working days by Royal Mail.

  4. If your order is of a higher value, a signature may be required upon delivery.

  5. If your order has not arrived within 7 working days, please contact your local Royal Mail delivery office as they sometimes fail to leave a 'while you were out' card.

  6. If your order hasn't arrived within 10 working days of you placing the order, please contact us and we will endeavour to trace your delivery or send a replacement.

  7. Delivery times stated are estimates & cannot be guaranteed at busier periods.

 
Returns and Refunds
  1. A 28-day no quibble guarantee.

  2. If for any reason you wish to return goods, we will exchange them or refund your payment.

  3. Returns must be made within 28 days of purchase.

  4. Your refund will be made within 14 days of receiving the goods.

  5. For a full refund the goods must be unopened, unused and in a re-saleable condition.

  6. A reduction in the amount you receive as a refund up to the full value of the item(s) may be made if the goods are not in this condition (see point 5.).

  7. For items you received damaged, you must contact us within 14 days, before returning.

  8. If you do not receive an item, please note that The Royal Mail does not deem an item lost until 10 days after the expected arrival date. I will not be able to provide a refund or send an alternative/replacement item until the Royal Mail has provided me with a refund. If you wish to receive the item sooner you can purchase the item again and receive a refund for the original item if/when I receive this from the Royal Mail.

  9. Please ensure you receive proof of postage from the post office for all returns (for the correct compensation amount) as any returns lost or damaged will not be refunded.

Precautions
  1. The purchase of any product in the online Shop or in person from Energise Me does not replace any medicine or medical treatment prescribed by your doctor.
  2. Information provided about products is for basic guidance only. Please check the product for suitability and usage before opening.
  3. Energise Me will not accept any liability for the use or misuse of any product or any adverse reaction caused from them.
  4. Before using any product on yourself or others, please ensure you know how to use the product correctly and safely.

About the treatment

At Copthorne Therapies I do not have a waiting area, so please do not turn up more than 10 minutes before your appointment. Directions will be given in your confirmation email/text.

On your first visit I will take your contact details and some current medical and health details from you to ensure that you receive a safe and appropriate treatment. On further vists I will just check any changes and improvements to your health.

Please remember that this is your appointment and if you have any specific reasons for a specific treatment then please ensure this is explained. I will always ensure we have agreed which therapy or combination you will be receiving before starting.

You will only ever be asked to undress if required by the treatment you are receiving and then only what is needed to be undressed.

Blankets are available in case you feel chilly or like to feel cosy as is a heated under blanket.

During treatments such as massage you will need to undress the areas to be worked upon. You will be fully covered at all times except the area being worked upon and no sensitive areas will be touched.

If you are not able to or, feel discomfort when lying or sitting in a particular position please let me know as I can work with you in a different position, it will not affect the treatment. There is no point in being uncomfortable and in pain as the treatment will not be beneficial.

Your treatment is about helping you relax and improving your state of health. Quite often clients will fall asleep as they become more relaxed. If however, you feel discomfort or pain from the treatment, or just need to move, please let me know as feeling tense or pain may prevent the treatment being effective.

When your treatment is complete I may give you some exercises to keep the effects from the treatment working and to improve your condition whilst you are at home.
